Participants in On Deck Cup hackathons are free to utilize any data sets, APIs, or information they choose. That said, we have compiled a list of sports-related APIs and data sets that participants may find particularly useful.
Included in this list are APIs that have been made exclusively available to On Deck Cup participants, which may require that you request a key or some form of access. If not yet provided, we will provide links to obtain access to these resources below. We've also included a broad variety of public APIs and data sources that require no authentication or access. Links to documentation and data sources are included below.

For the On Deck Cup events in SF and LA, Yahoo! Sports will make available a special set of fantasy sports APIs specifically for the On Deck Cup competition. For all other On Deck Cup events, hackers are encouraged to use Yahoo! Sports' public fantasy APIs, accessible thru the link to the right.

The SeatGeek API provides developers with robust data on live events, including sports game dates, venues, images, and ticketing data. The SeatGeek API is free and does not require a key or registration.

The API offers users the same functionality as the web interface with outputs in JSON format.
Challonge is a service to create tournament brackets. Users can make single elimination, double elimination and round-robin brackets, in addition to the FIDE-based Swiss system.
